ANP00104- Research methodology: discipline aims to bring a reflection about the nature of knowledge and science and to provide a critical analysis of research in agribusiness and related topics. It also aims to discuss the systematization of scientific knowledge, the formulation of hypotheses and choice of suitable methods of analysis and interpretation of the obtained results. Finally, the construction of the scientific object: how to make a research project. Introduce research methods in the areas of applied social sciences and the natural sciences area.

ANP00107- Construction of Knowledge in Agribusiness: Agribusiness is an academic and scientific space of convergence of Humanities and Natural Sciences. The progress of agribusiness arise from the pressures and the original discoveries, and are implemented in the various fields of thought and science, and are conditioned to the evolution of practices, customs and socio-economic conditions of the population.In this discipline, are analyzed, the historical frameworks and methodologies used in the construction of knowledge in the field of agribusiness and the safeguarding of its future development. This Discipline is offered for the Academic Master and Doctorate. Compulsory for doctoral student.

ANP00202- Planning and Management of Production Units: Study of the decision-making process with the aim of planning and managing the production units in the context of agribusiness, visualizing these units systemically and as part of chains and / or networks

ANP00207- Dynamic of competition in Agroindustrial Markets: Basic principles of theories of competition, markets and companies. The concept of agro-industrial system and its interpretations.Production and commercial organization of agribusiness.Price formation and profit margins. Competitiveness: conceptual and analytical aspects. Theories of generation and dissemination of innovations in technology.Systemic dimension of innovation and its relationship to the process of economic development.The international market for agro-industrial products.

ANP00205- Statistical Methods: Organization of data and descriptive statistics: frequency distribution, measures of location and variability. Probability, discrete and continuous distributions.Statistical inference, parametric and nonparametric tests.Correlation and regression analysis.Problems in estimating regression models.Analysis of temporary series and index numbers. Multivariate analysis: factor analysis and cluster analysis. Measures of inequality and concentration.Linear Programming topics.

ANP00209- Agribusiness: Concepts and Applications: demographic changes and their impact on production systems. The emergence of agribusiness phenomenon.The need to address concepts of the agribusiness phenomenon.Different concepts and approaches to study the agribusiness phenomenon.Application of the concepts and approaches for agribusiness phenomenon.

ANP00210- Fundamentals of Economics and Management: This discipline addresses the basics of micro and macroeconomic  and management theories, including: supply, demand, elasticity, production costs, market structures, measures of economic growth, investment function, saving function, government and implementation of macroeconomic policy, income, interest rates, foreign exchange, employment, wages, prices, inflation, international trade, agricultural policy, trade policy, strategy, finance, production management, marketing, logistics, information management , entrepreneurship.

ANP00219- Methods and analysis of Food Consumer Behavior: Consumer Science: Analysis and models of consumer behavior. Perception of needs and quality as key elements in satisfying consumers of food products.Historical basis of socio-demographical and epidemiological state of consumer behavior.The interdisciplinary nature of the phenomena of consumption.Theory of consumer behavior.Consumer decision making.Methods and resources for the development and implementation of quantitative consumer tests, interviews /online surveys / personal, focus groups and questionnaires with potential consumers. Statistical methods for assessing the influence of non-sensory factors on acceptance purchase intention and consumer choice, preference, expectation of product marketing mix interactions. Agribusiness trends.  Complete data evaluation methodology.

ANP00301- Meat Productive Chain: Develop knowledge through specialized bibliographic information to understand the relationships between different segments comprising strings of bovine, swine and poultry meat, integrating this knowledge in different stages of development of each sector. Analyze the different technological variables related to the production, processing, marketing and consumption of bovine, swine and poultry meat. Discipline for the courses of Academic Masters and Doctorate degree.

ANP00402 - Interdisciplinarity in Research and Education in Agribusiness: This discipline aims to address the interdisciplinarity on teaching and research in agribusiness. Aspects related to the history, motivations, barriers and ways of study and teaching of interdisciplinarity are the key elements that should be approached in the discipline. Discipline for the courses of Academic Master and Doctorate degree.

ANP00405 - Advanced Topics in Agribusiness I: Through the contemporary scientific literature, the frontiers of knowledge in areas of research relevant to agribusiness will be identified and analyzed, establishing its regional geopolitical importance, in the cultural, technological, environmental, logistics, social and economic dimensions.

ANP00408- Innovation Management in Agribusiness Chains: Innovation and competitiveness. Institutional, competitive and organizational factors and mechanisms associated with technological development in agribusiness. Characteristics and dynamics of innovation in agribusiness chains.Development tools for new products and processes in the agroindustrial chains.

ANP00414- Advanced Topics in Agribusiness II: This discipline serves as a forum for discussion of ideas and motivations of qualified doctoral degree candidates of Agribusiness, as support for the selection and formulation of their thesis. From the identification of the respective foci of interest of the candidates enrolled in the discipline, the currents of contemporary thought potentially relevant thinking for selected research fields are analyzed. Formulation exercises for thesis projects are conducted, with emphasis on the search for the definition of the objectives and research methodology.

ANP00415- Quality and Certification in Agribusiness: Developing knowledge through specialized bibliographic information about the commercial aspects of food security present in the production of products of animal origin and guidelines for the implementation of quality system in food industry. Study of the main mechanisms and tools to establish quality assurance and certification programs.

ANP00416- "Markets and marketing of agro-industrial products." Concepts and characteristics of agricultural and agro-industrial markets.Government intervention. Topics of Institutional Economics: Economics of transaction costs, New Institutional Economics, Contracts and Property Rights. Market Structures, Game Theory and Strategic Behavior.Systems and agro-industrial chains and productive arrangements. The discipline aims to: (a) discuss the different concepts and interpretations of agricultural and agro-industrial markets and the role of government intervention; (b) reflect on the concepts and influence of the institutional environment in the market of agro-industrial products; (c) present and analyze market structures based on traditional and modern microeconomic theory; (d) emphasize the concepts of agro-industrial systems and chains and productive arrangements.

ANP00514- Environmental Management of Agribusiness:  the main issues related to environmental management in agribusiness will be discussed, including: relevant and historical concepts of environmental management in Brazil, the main instruments for environmental management, legal requirements (environmental law) applied to the main production chains and environmental certification in the State.

ANP00515- Agribusiness Seminar: Current concepts on agribusiness. The prospects for agribusiness in Brazil and the world.Contemporary studies on agribusiness.

EPR00106- Economic Engineering: Demonstrate how economic engineering in general and quantitative techniques in particular can be used for economic evaluations, highlighting their applications and limitations. Relate economic engineering with other fields of knowledge, showing how much it can be useful in optimizing their activities. Encourage greater use of scientific techniques in the analysis and selection of investment and / or financing alternatives. Highlight the importance of considering risk and uncertainty in the economic viability analysis of investment and / or financing alternatives.

VET00241 - Productive Chain of milk:  the key links in the chain of production of milk will be discussed, their performance and integration in the chain from natural resources (soil, climate, water), production systems, breeding, management and feeding of lactating cows, milk cooling, transport, major industrial products, milk prices and trends of the consumer market.
