The international insertion of PPGCS occurs through agreements, alliances and exchanges. Among the agreements, stands out the project Brinding Genomics and Agrosystem Management: Resources for Adaptation and Sustainable Production of forage Lotus species in Environmentally-Constrained South-American Soils with the countries of South America (Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina) and Europe (Spain and Germany), and it involves the area of Microbiology of the program, in an institutional partnership with the Department of Forage Plant and the postgraduate Program in Zootechnics.The project is funded under the VI Framework Programme of the European Commission. Among the alliances the partnership with the Technical University of Munich stands out and is a re-release of Project Probal - Capes-DAAD, with a plan for study tours for teachers and students of Postgraduate Studies in Germany and Brazil.Among the exchanges for the realization of sandwich doctoral degree, the program has sent an average of 5-7 students each year with scholarships from CAPES and CNPq, with preference for US universities like the University of California - Davis, University of California - Riverside; Auburn University in Montgomery; University of Florida in Gainesville, Iowa State University and Virginia Tech University.In Europe, stands out, the exchange with the University of Cordoba and the University of Seville, Spain ; the University of Munich and the University of Cologne in Germany and at the University of Bologna and Florence, Italy. The past five years the participation of teachers in post-doctoral stages has increased. As international insertion, it is worth noting that Prof. Flavio Cimélio Assistant Editors Magazines are Soil Tillage and Soil and Environment, respectively.
